The boys goofin around while we waited for Daddy

Finally, I'm caught up! The kids and I waited outside our hotel for Craig to come with the rental van. The lines were really long because of the transportation dilemna. We were kind of glad because it gave us an opportunity to minister to someone. We met some ladies Friday at our hotel from California whose flights had been cancelled. They were really distressed. I got to talk to them at breakfast this morning, they are Patty and Debbie, good friends who travel together a lot. Patty wanted to get home to her husband and both were concerned about prescription medicines (the next available flight seems to be Thurs. and that's 5 days over their planned stay. I told them I'd be praying for them and hoped that God had a special blessing planned for them through this change of plans. Later, while we were outside waited Tucker asked if we could give them our phone number so we would know when they got home safe. We decided to write our email down and put a verse of encouragement on the note just in case we saw them again. Sully and I thought of Phil. 4 :13 at the same time: I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. We then prayed that the ladies would come out (didn't know their room #). Well, they did! We gave them the note and they both cried and we hugged and laughed and they were so sweet. I know God put us in that situation for a reason. Pray for Patty and Debbie!
We finally got settled in our mini van and Craig the Magnificent drove through and out of Paris like a pro. We had a beautiful drive up to Normandy. So much scenery and so different! Just like I always thought French Countryside would look like. We stopped for lunch/dinner at a little sidewalk cafe (Ellie's mammoth hotdog) and then came to La Mas Normand. It's a bed and breakfast run by a couple named Christian and Mylene. They have a 15 year old daughter and two big dogs named Na Nous (means Teddy Bear) and the other is something that means Pomegranite in french. Elllie is in love. They have a big back garden and the kids had a ball playing tag back there tonite. Craig, DP , Ellie and I are staying in the Gypsy caravan and Sullivan and Tucker are staying in the main house in the attic loft. I know, Mom. Sounds scary. But I think the scariest thing is that they'll pound the stew out of each other while up there. We threatened them good. We can see their window from ours so they will be ok. :)
We may have some travel problems getting to Rome. We COULD have chosen to go back to Paris tonite in hopes of having a driver take us to Rome (all trains and cars seem to be taken) but have opted to finish our time here. The kids and I prayed about it and feel like it is a step of faith and that God will guide us in what to do. Pray with us, please! Thanks!!
Tomorrow we go to Omaha Beach and Bayeaux.
Praying for Beverly!
Praying for Ivy and Co. !
