The Goofy Challenge

For the last several years Craig has run the Disney Goofy Challenge.  That means he runs a half marathon on Saturday and a full marathon on Sunday.  I call it the Dumbo Challenge. :)  This year, due to his torn up hamstring (Labor Day water skiing bump) he decided to ONLY run the full marathon.  We came a couple of days early to play at Disney.   It's still all decorated for Christmas and very festive.  The weather was gorgeous and we had a fun time.
Gotta love Pooh!
Ellie decided she was ready to ride roller coasters.  Her brothers decided Thunder Mountain was a good beginning.  This is the before picture.
This is the "after" picture.  She said it was fast and scary. However, as the day went on, that ride became less scary in her mind and she decided she DID like it after all and rode it again in the evening and had a wonderful time!  Oh, the drama of having a little girl. :)
Getting ready to spin their guts out.
It's a Small World saying goodbye.
Hands up on the wild People Mover ride!
yummy!
Ellie demonstrating the cuteness of Mickey and Minnie cookies.
Daddy's girl.
They each have a big pink bow on their head!
Caught Phinneas and Ferb in a still moment.
Toy Story Mania!  Our favorite ride at Disney/Hollywood Studios.
Beware the Viking Raiders!
Love Disney Christmas.
For Poppy. :)
Tiny church in the tiny village.
Ellie asked Mary Poppins how she measured up.  Mary said she looked like she was rather inclined to giggle.  Then Ellie giggled.
Sully was my partner on the Planet Earth ride.  Don't I look skinny?!
Beginning of the end of a fun filled day.
Dinner at Magic Kingdom with our favorite Orlando family, the Crawfords.  Julia was not there as she was committed to a basketball game.  We understand her loyalty, but we still missed her!!!
I love how Disney does smells.  The pirate ride even smells pirate-y.  Sort of dusty and musty and smokey.  AARRGG!
Love this shirt!
We had never seen the Electric Light Parade before.  It  was gorgeous.

Ellie and Char show off the castle.
Me and Lele ~and Will. :)~
We spent a day playing with the Crawfords.  "Play board games all day with Mr. Dan and Julia" is at the top of  our boys fun things to do list.  Leigh and I snuck out to get our toes done in a moment of relative calm. :)
The boys and Julia shooting some hoops.
Will is hard to pin down for a picture but I caught him this time!  Sweet boy.
