In early February we decided to plant a winter garden. We collected lots of pots and bought some organic soil, organic seeds and organic bone meal. We spent a fun afternoon filling the pots and planting the seeds. I don't know what the ingredient is in the bone meal that made our dogs go nuts but they were after that dirt like a duck on a junebug. We had to enclose our pots with our old baby gate to keep the dogs out. We planted carrots, spinach and a variety of lettuce, all cool weather plants. Since the winter has been so warm, we also planted some radishes, peppers, and some onions (for Sully, NOT for me~ha!). Considering the weather since then, we should've just planted all we wanted. It's been spring here since early January! |
